This is a true design and build project involving the appointment of the design team and the submission for planning for the construction of a 12,000ft2 vehicle maintenance industrial unit with 2 storey offices, storage and workshop facilities. This will be a structural steel framed building on traditional pad foundations, with clad external walls and roof, housing both VOSA and HGV MOT inspection pits and testing facility. A full internal fit out to the workshop, offices, parts stores, toilets and mess rooms together with a small MOT office will be carried out. The Client’s specialist fit out contractors will be installing the pits and testing machinery during the contract.

The scheme also includes all associated external works such as landscaping, services, concrete yards, car parking and drainage - all surface and roof water will be discharged into SUDS lagoon systems. A fully recycling vehicle wash, under chassis vehicle cleaning, oil storage and pumps, bypass interceptors and comprehensive CCTV installation will also be incorporated. The green credentials for this project are further enhanced by a number of environmental improvements including the installation of a PV Array on the roof.
