Jewers Doors, Biggleswade

Works comprise the construction of a new industrial unit and ancillary office facilities to accommodate the manufacturing and development requirements for Jewers Doors. Ground stabilization and bulk earth works will be completed in preparation for concrete pad foundations. The steel frame structure will be clad in mixture of composite and built up wall cladding systems, incorporating the main roof body as built up, and membrane single ply to the office area. The external façade is complimented with a glazed curtain wall system and revolving entrance door. Steel fire exits and bi-fold Jewers Doors complete the building envelope. Works will also include all associated fit out, incorporating mechanical and electrical works, including the following:

- Installation of new overhead gantry crane
- Parts storage areas
- Paint booth
- Blast Room
- Powder Coating Room
- Passenger & Goods Lift
- Full Office fit out inclusive of staircases and upper floors
- Mezzanine floor

Externally the new site entrance will be formed to the car park from Juno Place, and access for goods vehicles to the scheme via the existing exit formed from the existing roundabout. All associated incoming services and foul and storm drainage will be completed as part of the works. Hard landscaping comprises of a mixture of permeable and non-permeable block paving to parking bays and tarmacadam roads. Footpaths are finished with paving slabs and a concrete brushed finished service yard to the rear. Soft landscaping will complete the scheme.
