Design and build construction of a single cross dock industrial unit totalling some 55,000 sq ft, accommodating a two-story office block and a single story amenity/crew facility.
This project is designed as a combination of composite and built-up wall and roof cladding, on a structural steel frame, sitting on pad foundations, with an FM2 tolerance reinforced concrete floor slab, with 12 docks. The project included all associated external works and drainage along with bypass interceptors, line drains, jet wash and fueling zones, retaining walls, ducting installations for BT and cable suppliers, with CCTV, signage and external lighting.
Earth works will be undertaken to cut and fill the site to suitable levels and a period of ground improvement measures to include both ground stabilization and vibro stone piling to foundation areas only. All arisings from the earthworks and groundworks are to be retained on the site.
The development will include the formation of a new crate and filter bed water attenuation storage system for flood compensation that make this site fully SUDS compliant, all combined with the construction of a new access ring road, car park, lorry parks, van parking, foul and storm drainage, together with all major services to feed the development.
