This project comprises the design and build construction of a single industrial unit totalling some 168,000ft2.
This project is designed as a combination of composite and built up wall and roof cladding, on a structural steel frame, sitting on pad foundations, with an FM2 tolerance reinforced concrete slabs, with 15 docks. The project includes all associated external works and drainage along with bypass interceptors, line drains, Envirokerbs, attenuation zones, all mains services, ducting installations for BT and cable suppliers, along with CCTV, signage and external lighting.
The development will include the formation of new water attenuation swales, tanks, culverts and ditches that make this site fully SUDS compliant, together with drainage and all major services to feed the development.
The scheme has been designed in order to achieve a cut and fill balance to help enhance the environmental benefits of this scheme, whilst helping to reduce both congestion on the local road network as well as cutting the associated CO2 impact of this scheme on the environment.
The contract achieved a BREEAM “Very Good” rating and achieved a certificate of ‘Beyond Compliance’ with the Considerate Constructors.
